Privacy policy

vanderwel.au is a private site run by Stefan van der Wel for himself and his family. It is not a public service. This policy covers the site, its sign-in, and the agent-memory tool.

Sign-in and dashboards

The sign-in at portfolio.vanderwel.au is for approved family members only. It keeps the account email and the details needed to sign in, and uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Account data is not shared, sold or used for advertising.

agent-memory and Gmail

agent-memory is a single-user tool. Its only user is the owner, who authorises it against his own Google account using the Gmail read-only scope (gmail.readonly). It reads messages, attachments and labels in that mailbox; it cannot send, change or delete email.

Messages are copied into a private database and private storage controlled by the owner, so his personal assistant software can search and summarise them for him. The data is not sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train generalised AI models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

agent-memory’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and removal

Data is kept until the owner deletes it. Google access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
